Students follow ABRSM exam syllabus from grade one to grade eight.
Structured lesson plans are adapted to suit the interests and needs of the student.
Students are also offered the chance to play in recitals allowing them to hone their performance skills.
In addition to the material covered in the basic package, midweek feedback is offered.
Students send a video recording of themselves practising and receive feedback on their progress and how to continue practising.
Video aids are created to help with practising, tailored for that particular student.

This is a great chance to carve out a corner in your life, that’s just about you, it gives you a break from work and family and allows you to focus on something fresh.
Adult learners are motivated by the progress they make week after week. A private Facebook group is set up to share with other adult learners what they’re working on, and to form a small community where you can encourage each other.
I offer a programme for those being educated at home.
This programme takes an all-encompassing approach, including learning classical piano, jazz piano, music theory and composition.
Students are also introduced to various composers and characteristics of various genres and music periods. Lessons can be in person, online or a combination of the two.
Students are offered an intensive course during the holidays, exploring composition techniques with the goal of producing a piece of music on a score.
I offer one-on-one lessons supporting GCSE performance, composition and listening exam requirements.
For those with an interest in composing, a more in-depth approach is taking at exploring various techniques, and then using them to produce your own original work.
Beginners learn to read music and play their favourite pieces with a bite sized breakdown of each step using a combination of short videos and handouts.
Lessons are divided into three terms, each term ten video lessons are sent to students, one video a week.
At an extra cost students are offered the option to send videos once a week to show their progress and receive feedback on a pdf file or in a video aid tailored to that students specific needs.
A group recital is offered on Zoom at the end of the summer term.
